Fanney Frímannsdóttir

Fanney Frímannsdóttir, joined LEX‘s corporate and finance team in 2011 and became a partner in 2020. She specialises in corporate and commercial law and in her practice at LEX she has mainly advised large companies, banks and other financial institutions. She has extensive experience in the field of M&A, both cross-border and domestic transactions and she has acted as local law counsel in many of the largest foreign investment transactions in recent years.

Fanney graduated with an ML degree in law from Reykjavík University in January 2010. Before she joined LEX, she worked for the resolution committee of Kaupthing hf., mainly focusing on derivative assets. Fanney has been a part-time lecturer at the faculty of law at Reykjavík University in the field of corporate law and M&A since 2020.
